Using Mail Applications on an Apple iPad

Like the Apple iPhone, the iPad mail application is simple in terms of usage and supports various services, such as Microsoft Exchange, Gmail, Hotmail, IMAP and POP3.

Let us now show how you can use mail applications on iPad:

Checking Emails

Using Mail Applications on an Apple iPad

- Click on the Mail icon
- If you are in landscape mode, you would notice inbox on the left side
- To see it on the right, click on the message subject
- Now turn the iPad into portrait mode, and the message would fill the entire screen.
- By clicking on the icon on the top left hand corner, you can easily view your inbox. This would now appear as overload on iPad screen.

Handling Mail attachments

- Just as the iPhone, the pictures come up in the body of email. Save attachments by clicking and selecting save.
- If you wish to copy the image to send it across, just click on to copy.
Moving/Deleting emails
- Turn the iPad to landscape mode for deleting or moving emails.
- Click on the icon appearing on the right part of the inbox.
- Click on the emails you wish to delete and the button would appear on the left side of the message.
- All selected emails would appear on the right hand side in a pile.
- Click on the move button at the lower portion of the email list to move them to a different folder.
- Select delete option at the bottom of the screen to remove items.
Including contacts from mail to Address Book
- The iPad recognizes email addresses, postal addresses and phone numbers automatically.
- If you wish to transfer the address from email, simply press and hold. If it is a postal address, simply search for it in Google Maps. Else, create a new contact.
